crazy4crafts

Wow I guess it has been a while since I have been on here to update everyone of everything going on.Holidays were fantastic here even though we had a very green Christmas... Lack of snow makes it feel like anything less that a real holiday... The true meaning of the holiday is often missed but this year we were ever so fortunate to celebrate with dear friends who came up from Hastings Florida to share our holiday with us.Would very much have liked about a foot of snow to fire up the snowmobile and all those other winter activities that they miss out on being in that sunny state of Florida...Everything aside I am glad the New Year is almost here as with most things my seasonal sales job selling games is very near an end and as sales are slowing down I am of the realization that my next adventure is out there waiting for me. I beleive I will be mananging a small restraunt in the same mall ... the owner has approached me and is quite interested in giving me a position... the great thing about this job is the hours are far less than I put in now ... a real 40 hr work week ...YIPPPPEEEE what will I ever do with myself??? LOL... With our Caring Crocheters Groups new focus being Ronald McDonald House I will be far less limited in what I can make... the focus still being children but so many other things can be made... cant wait to actually get to some crafting... I suppose any excuse to go shopping is good so I feel a need for several yards of fabric to stitch up on the new sewing machine that Santa brought me... trade off is that Pete will get eithor a new TV or a new Computer... oh well suppose it was worth it... Looking to do some quilting so will be saving my AC Moore coupons to buy a rotary cutter and mat...

THE MALL

The Mall...certainly doesnt sound like the beginning of any humorous book I have read lately but... Let me tell you what we did this weekend... Knowing that I was to see my buddy Sandra this weekend I asked her about other people getting together with us...and posted to several of the looming groups that I belong to that we were in search of other loomers... well to our great suprise a ton of people showed up!!! Yippee ... we all sat there looming and chatting and having such a wonderful time... One of these wonderful ladies actually joined our caring crocheters group and has already made her first donation... wow ... Sharon was able to share with all the KK slipper technique... made me smile remembering it wasnt that long ago that I showed her how to do them... like passing a torch...how cool!!! Seems to be intrest in getting together again ... maybe bags next time or somethign else... I cant wait and have a vehicle on the road again so gonna burn the rubber off those new tires to get there and have a looming good time a hooking away....

Update...

Well it hasnt quite been a week but so much to say... the weather is starting to turn and soon the leaves will be in there full splendor... kind of a sad time of year but it must happen, leaves in all there splendor must fall off the trees to be reborn in the spring. Well I have decided that without friends we are nothing ... I had a lovely weekend and many friends showed to share it with me... Only at my house would I have friends over and pull out the yarn and looms... hmmmm... oh well forgive me..lol everyone seemed to have such a good time and I recruited a few new members for Caring Crocheters!!! Well with so much to work on I admit I have been a little distracted... oh well... I have to continue to work on a suprise ghan for a great friends daughter and also need to finish a scarf that I am looming for an exchange for Caring Crocheters... had about 1/8 of it done today and decided to frog it and start over... was very thick and was taking altogether to long to loom so I restarted it much thinner and it will hopefully work up much quicker. Need to set a few hours aside tomorrow to continue working on my suprise ghan am actually behind several for the local VA Hospital and need to do a couple for birthdays that are just wizzing by as I am sitting here typing...Well tomorrow is another day...Time to go to bed so for now keep on hooking( only a crocheter like me would see the humor it that statement).

HOT!!!!

Hot hot hot!!!!! I am hating this summer seems like this has been the worst year ever always hot and lots of rain... well I guess at least I dont have to shovel it but this year has been very hard on Pete with his breathing. Our hopes are still good that he will eventually get his lung transplant but as is a side effect with the steroids his weight may be the deciding factor. His last pulmonary rehab at the VA in Syracuse worked well he lost over 20 lbs and looked and felt wonderful... some days especially with the heat he seems to give up... so sad to see... maybe fall will be far more managable.

Just catching up...

Well it seems as if I am always chasing my tail... after being reminded a few times to catch this blog up here I am to do it... so much going on Pete is doing well although this hot waether is really bothering him more than usual... My friends and I got together a few days ago with the idea we would craft... well it always works out that we get hardly any of that done and spend more time laughing and having fun than anything else... We wil be getting together again around the beginning of August to shop and pick up our KKII looms... we always have such funwhen we get together!!!! We were able to celebrate the 1 yr anniversary of our Caring Crocheters Group... although most of us havent been there real long any reason to party and be silly is a good one!!! Above is the pic of Sandra the group Mom with the blanket that the group gave her beacuse she does so much for so many this one was for her!!!
